Learn foundational wig and makeup application and Union Protocols
Service Description
This course will cover the foundational skills needed to be successful on your union makeup and hair call. We will first cover the union code of conduct and jargon, then delve into hair/wig and makeup foundational skills. Each show has its own way of doing things; however, coming in with a baseline of knowledge will set you apart, enabling you to become a highly sought-after union local. You will learn: - Theater jargon - Code of conduct - Dress code - Foundational skills in Makeup: Tools and their uses: - Basic theater face -Lighting considerations (especially when working with principles) -Sanitation -What you should bring to your call -Foundational skills in Wigs/Hair: Tools and their uses: - Wig prep for long, short, natural, & locs - Wig application - Quick Change techniques - Wig handling/care - Wig storage - Sanitation Hands-on training will include: -Wig application/Removal/ Storage -Basic theater makeup for Male and Female faces

Booking Policy for The Beauty Pro University We appreciate your support and cooperation in enhancing our students' education. Please review our policies for a seamless experience. Cancellations and Rescheduling: Notify us 48 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule by calling (682) 323-4124 or emailing info@beautyprouniversity.org. Late cancellations or no-shows will forfeit the deposit. Appointment Guidelines: Arrive on time for your reserved appointment. A 10-minute grace period is allowed for late arrivals; beyond that, your appointment will be canceled, and the deposit lost. A new deposit is required to reschedule. Pre-Appointment Instructions: Hair Services: A $25 fee applies for excessively tangled hair, plus $25/hour for detangling. Schedule all services in advance; same-day add-ons may not be accommodated. Makeup Services: Arrive with a clean, moisturized face. Deposit Policy: Service Deposits: Required for most services and non-refundable for cancellations under 48 hours or no-shows. Course Deposits: Non-refundable, securing your class spot. Balance due on service day. Payment Methods: Online, phone, Apple Pay, Tap Payments, credit/debit, or cash. Health and Safety: Reschedule if unwell. Services may be declined if illness is apparent. Model Services Disclaimer: Services are student-performed under supervision.
